Claire is a specialist corporate fundraiser and project manager with experience across all areas of fundraising. She started her career at Shelter and has since worked with a range of charities large and small, both in permanent positions and as a consultant. Claire has 20 years of experience and has headed up corporate, events and regional fundraising teams.
Claire has worked with causes across the sector including for social welfare, medical, youth, older people and environmental charities. She has a strong track record of securing and maximising large charity of the year partnerships, developing strategic partnerships that add value across the charity, and growing income streams from scratch.
Claire is a trustee of Haringey based mental health charity, Open Door.
Claire’s key achievements include:
- As the first Head of Corporate Partnerships at The Silver Line (then a brand new charity), developing the corporate income stream from scratch to £750K in 3 years
- At RNID (now Action on Hearing Loss) managing the team who generated £3.7m from the Co-operative Group charity of the year partnership (up from £2m in the previous period)
- As Head of Corporate Partnerships at Mencap, winning high value charity of the year partnerships with companies including EDF Energy and Travis Perkins, and recruiting Sainsbury’s and Citigroup as headline sponsors of WorkRight their new employment scheme.
- Securing grants from various trusts and foundations including Garden Organic’s largest ever grant (at the time) of £450K from the Big Lottery
Outside of work, Claire enjoys spending time with her two children, swimming at her local lido, Pilates, green spaces and long walks.
